Data Files FAQ
[This document is part of the help files integrated into the ITS HFBC software package.]
Data Files Created: What are they?
Here is a list of data files created during program execution and a brief description of their purpose:
Directory of ..\AREADATA
Contains all area data files. All files must be stored in sub-directories below ..\AREADATA. The directory DEFAULT is supplied with the software.

Directory of ..\RUN
All temporary data files are saved in ..\RUN. They can be deleted without any harm.

Directory of ..\SAVED
Contains all point-to-point data files. All files must be stored in sub-directories below ..\SAVED. The directory DEFAULT is supplied with the software.

Data Files Supplied: What's in them?
Here is a list of all data files supplied and a brief description of their purpose:
Directory of ..\ANTENNAS\DEFAULT
Contains the 26 supplied default antenna files. All antenna files are of the names CCIR.???. CCIR.000 is the Isotrope (constant gain).
SWWHIP VOA the Short Wave Whip receive antenna used by VOA.
Directory of ..\ANTENNAS\SAMPLES
Contains samples of all antenna files of the format SAMPLE.nn, where nn is the antenna type.
Directory of ..\ANTENNAS\WINDOWS.DAT
Contains data files used by the GUI input interface.
Directory of ..\AREADATA\DEFAULT
Contains supplied default area data files.

from geomagnetic to corrected geomagnetic coordinates (ICEPAC only)
FOF2DALW BIN Binary URSI foF2 daily coefficients (for ICEPAC)
FOF2CCIR DAW Binary CCIR foF2 monthly coefficients

GEOCITY contains files sorted by city within a continent. GEONATIO contains files sorted by nation then city within a continent.

Contains over 32000 cities in the United States in files named for each state.

Directories for Windows HELP topics. All files are in Windows HELP format (*.hlp).

Contains icon files used by the programs.
Directory of ..\NEWS_WIN
Contains NEWS files describing changes made in specific releases of the software

Contains supplied default Point-to-Point data files
